Retaining walls, capped steps, and two lawn levels that make a slope easy to use.
A steep plot is only useful if people can walk it comfortably. We built a low stone retaining wall with matching steps, finished the caps, and established lawn on both levels so the garden reads as two outdoor rooms instead of a bank of soil.
